The Study On Vocabulary In Veritable Records Of Jiankang

This paper takes Veritable Records of Jiankang written by Tang Xusong as research object. By using the method of data statistics, analysis and summary,synchronic description, diachronic comparison and so on, this paper studies on Veritable Records of Jiankang from the angle of lexicology, analyzes the lexical characteristics and describes the linguistic phenomenon.Chapter one provides some information about Veritable Records of Jiankang,such as the author, edition, brief introduction, its domestic research status in quo, and so on.Chapter two describes the general picture of the lexicon system of Veritable Records of Jiankang and summarizes its lexical characteristics.Chapter three has selected the semantic field of “sodier”, “garrison”,“throne”,“integrity”, and“appearance”, in Veritable Records of Jiankang. Then by analyzing their semantics and the decreased or remaining diachronic evolvement, we can sum up the causes of the decreased or remaining lexicons and concludes the factors of these lexicons in Veritable Records of Jiankang.Chapter four uses words in Veritable Records of Jiankang to supplement the Chinese Dictionary.The last part is the conclusion, which summarizes the main idea of this paper and points out deficiencies to provide reference for continuous research in future.
