At last, the author lists some important data and documents for those who want to do further study on this subject.This book tells the basic development of same-sex relationship of nations all over the world in history and public opinions for same-sex marriage. Therefore, it is worthy of translation.This translation report is divided into four parts. The first part introduces the background, theme and style of the source text; the second part introduces the process of translation, such as preparation and theory that guides the whole translation, Relevance Theory; the third part is case study, discussing some problems encountered in translation by category; the fourth part is a conclusion about the enlightenment and experience learnt from this translation project.This translation report is a conclusion about my three years’ study of Master of Translation and Interpretation. I have gained a deeper and better understanding on translation theory and translation skills from it.
