Interpretation has been given more and more importance nowadays. Scholars try to explore different methods to apply to interpretation teaching so as to boost pre-interpreter’s quality and ability. Schema theory has been widely studied listening and reading in terms of second language, and current studies concentrate on the relationship between schema theory and interpreting, as well as interpretation training. Interpreters and scholars involved in interpretation training gradually find that interpretation is far beyond transformation between two languages. As a result,various methods are tried to decode the relationship between interpretation and other relevant fields, reinforce interpreters’ ability so as to prepare more qualified talents for society.The thesis illustrates the author’s idea to combine schema theory with interpretation training, presents the procedure of experiment of how much schemata boosts interpretation learner’s performance, and analyze experimental data. It proves that schemata plays a positive role in boosting interpretation learner’s performance,and that schemata which interpreters have is in high correlation with their performance including response time, fluency and completeness.
