Anyi country lies in the northeast of Yuncheng,Shanxi Province.It boards Wanrong country in the west,Xiaxian country in the east,links with Wenxi in the north,and with Linyi in the south.Anyi,as a suburban area of Yuncheng, It has 32 villages in total and a population of over 40 thousands,covers more than 60 thousands mu arable land.After a series of field studies and speech materials collecting,the paper has comprehensively recorded and analyzed the phonetic aspect of Anyi dialect and has concluded the general phonetic characteristics of Anyi dialect.This thesis consists of six parts:the introductory theory,phonology of Anyi dialect,phonetic changes of Anyi dialect,diachronic phonological features of Anyi dialect,variations of Anyi dialect both in written and oral form,and phonological comparisons between Anyi dialect and Wenxi,Linyi dialects.From the perspective of diachronic study,the evolution of the Chinese phonology at Anyi from Tang Dynasty to the present time is stated and analyzed in the paper,which has also deepened the studies of the dialects in this area.The variations of the dialect can show us the ancient phonetic characteristics of Anyi dialect. Because the language is developed and dialect receives impacts from other languages neary.The comparion with the nearby dialects of Wenxi and Linyi draw the conclusion:dialects belong to the same section,Fenhe section of Zhongyuan Mandarin also have their own characteristics.These features can make a contribution to the definition of transitional dialects.
