In contemporary Marxist theory of history suffered many questions and misunderstandings, making the spread of Marxism during confirmation of the discount, the socialist faith crisis. The Fukuyama’s "end of history" and the impact on Marx’s theory of history is even worse. In the earlier book, "The End of History and the Last Man" Fukuyama concluded that history will end the capitalist system of freedom and democracy, that the ideological struggle will put an end to the popularity of liberal democracy. The recent correction in two decades Fukuyama aspect supplementary "end of history", but on the other hand has yet to escape from the essence of the end of history theory. Because Fukuyama’s end of history recent time span, the cumbersome and Marx’s theory of history caused some misunderstanding and influence, this article is intended to clarify the misunderstanding of Marx history Fukuyama theory. That comparison Fukuyama grasp of history and Marx both overall, its history by Aristotle’s "Four Causes" to sort and compare correspond to exploit their points of disagreement and interpretation. After carrying out theoretical analysis to clarify the misunderstanding of Marx’s theory of history. So, this paper will be presented from following three parts.1. The generation and contents of Fukuyama’s End of History will be discussed. The first point will be the historical background of his End of History(including corrections of new time); the second will be overview about his historic conceptions in early phase, including overall conceptions of history, “the last man” in history, and other core contents; the third will be relevant corrections and supplements about end theory of history under the background of “Chinese Mode” rising.2. A contradiction against misconceptions and criticisms to Fukuyama will be given from the perspective of Marx’s historical materialism. According to Aristotle’s “Four Causes”, including material, power, form and purpose, this part makes a comparison about the historical conceptions of Fukuyama and Marx. Through the comparison of both overall conception of history, historical inner drive, society historical development track and human development state in history, this part will analyze their divergences – contradictions to misconceptions. Although Fukuyama was known for inheriting Marx’s communism theory and historical materialism, the analogic result was the overturn to Marx’s theories of history. From the analysis, we can see that Fukuyama’s theories of history still were provided with the characteristics of bourgeoisie idealism and west-centered theory. The liberalistic democracy advocated by Fukuyama still could not keep away from the false ideology of bourgeoisie criticized by Marx. The Last Man also inevitably came to an end, which was just different from Marx’s theories.3. With example of Fukuyama’s End of History, this part will review the modern circumstances of Marx’s historical theories, and discuss how to correctly and objectively treat his historical theories in modern time, so as to further develop his historical theories. Then, we will discuss the significance and urgency of maintaining Marx’s historical theories.
