The Research Of Richard Strauss’s Lieder

Richard Strauss is one of the outstanding and representatives composer of romanticism in the late of German-Austrian, he wrote a large number of outstanding works of his life, his works include tone poem, opera and art songs and other kinds of music genres, among them,the art song plays an important role in his music creation career.According to the creative time and style characteristics of the song, his art songs can be divided into three periods, early, middle and late. This paper selects three representative art songs in his three periods as the research object, comprehensively analyze the background, music form and singing of each song, and focuses on exploration of Strauss’ s singing style of art songs in different periods.This paper is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is the creative background and style of Strauss’ s early art songs, and selects the representative song “St?nchen " as an example, to study how to sing for reflecting " poetic and dramatic " combination style of his early art songs; The second chapter is the creative background and style of Strauss’ s medium-term art songs, and selects the song“morgen" as an example,to study how to accurately show the medium art songs which main content is love; The third chapter is the creative background and style changes of Strauss’ s terminal art songs, selects the song "Im Abendrot" as an example,to study how to sing the terminal art songs after the abrupt changes of style, I hope this paper can bring some academic value and practical value for vocal music teaching and singing.
