Discussion On The Role Of Cheng Yi When It Comes To The Change Of Zhu Xi’s The New And Old Zhong-He Doctrine

Zhu Xi ’s zhong-he doctrine plays a very important role in the establishment of the theory of Zhu Xi’s nature and mind, as well as the development of his ideology, In this paper, the role of Cheng Yi in Zhu Xi’s zhong-he doctrine, the academic circles have also mentioned, but the arguments are diverse and have not been deeply explored. Dao nan school and Hu xiang school are founded by Chengs’ students, Li Tong is Zhu Xi’s teacher, and he had a great influence on him., he teached Zhu Xi to experience the states before feelings are arouse in tranquil; Zhu Xi had a close relationship with Zhang Shi who belonged to Hu xiang school. Zhang Shi told Zhu Xi about the theory of Hu xiang school “The first observation of real, after the conservation ”. This became the ideological source of material of the old zhong-he doctrine then critical object of the new zhong-he doctrine. This paper intends to use two clues as the main line, through the introduction of the Cheng Yi’ s theory then make contrast to Zhu Xi ’s theory, in order to explore the role of Cheng yi when it comes to the change of Zhu Xi’s the old and the new zhong-he doctrine; The second is through the clarification of the effort theory on Dao nan school and Hu xiang school, indirect inquiry the role of Cheng Yi when it comes to the change of Zhu Xi’s the new and old zhong-he doctrine.Through the literature review and the analysis, this paper thinks that Zhu Xi’s the new and old zhong-he doctrine have a great relationship with Cheng Yi, Cheng Yi has a direct impact on Zhu Xi’s zhong-he doctrine, Zhu Xi has inherited, modified and innovative places of Cheng Yi ’s zhong-he theory.
