The Effect Of Environmental Eues On The Psychological Craving Of Female Heroin Addicts

Purpose:1、To study the characteristics of the psychological craving of female heroin addicts, and to analyze the influencing factors.2、Using the environmental cue induced craving paradigm, to analysis the craving changes caused by cue induced combined with biofeedback relaxation.3、Using a variety of drug related cues to induce the female heroin addicts craving, establishing the relationship between environmental cue types and intensity level of craving. Method:1、Investigation study: using self-made general questionnaire, forcing heroin use scale, drug addicts of related environmental sensitivity self evaluation scale, test the 312 female heroin addicts from a compulsory isolation detoxification in Shanxi Province, to know the female heroin addicts characteristics of craving and analysis its influencing factors.2、Experimental study: investigation found that return period(currently in the time for 21-24 months) female heroin addicts’ craving is higher, therefore on the basis of informed consent, following the principle of voluntary participation, totally select 48 female heroin addicts of return period as the object of study. Respectively according to different environmental cues(heroin related pictures, heroin related video, drug simulant) each experiment research object to after 3 times of cue elicited craving trials, once a week, every 18 minutes(5 min baseline period, 5 minutes induced phase, 5 minute recovery period, each phase after 1 minute craving of self rating). After the end of each experiment, the use of positive psychological philosophy, to give cognitive behavior correction and prevention of relapse education guidance, eliminate adverse effects. Results:1、The survey results show: the craving of female heroin addicts score was 42.63 + 8.88. There were significant difference in the time of compulsory isolation drug rehabilitation center(F=3.75,P<0.05)、time of drug use(F=9.06,P<0.001)、times of herself detoxification(F=5.60,P<0.01)、relapse times(F=7.95,P<0.001)、daily amount of drug use(F=8.60,P<0.001)、frequency of drug use(F=6.95,P<0.001);Environment sensitivity has a significant correlation with psychological craving; Multiple linear regression analysis result shows that the main factors influencing the psychological craving scores are the time of compulsory isolation drug rehabilitation center、relapse times、daily amount of drug use、drug directly related to environmental、drug indirectly related to environmental、 social and family environment.2、The experimental results show: There was a significant change in the craving when the female heroin addicts faced drug-related environmental cues(heroin related pictures, heroin Related videos, drug simulant). In other words, in terms of physiological indexes, VLF、LF、HF、LF/HF、wave frequency and fluctuation amplitude of the induced phase were significantly higher than that of the baseline period; in terms of psychological indexes, the induced craving in the induced phase was significantly higher than baseline, and craving value ascending followed by picture clues, video cues, simulant clues; After the relaxation of the biological feedback, the craving decreased significantly; After the three environmental cues induced craving, the environmental sensitivity and psychological craving of female heroin addicts were significantly lower than those before the experiment. Conclusions:1、Female heroin addicts’ psychological craving level is higher, and their environmental sensitivity is stronger. And the most influential factor is the Environmental cues which is directly related to drug.2、Drug related cues can induce the psychological craving of female heroin addicts, and accompanied by autonomic hyperactivity, mood swings.3、Environmental cues induced the psychological craving intensity from small to large followed by picture clues, video clues, simulant clues.4、The cue induced combined with biofeedback relaxation can effectively reduce the female heroin addicts’ environment sensitivity and craving. And the systematic desensitization(picture clues—video clues—simulant clues) cue induced craving trials can more improve female heroin addicts craving level.5、Biofeedback relaxation can effectively adjust and improve level of autonomic nervous function of female heroin addicts.
