Research goals: The objective of this study was to explore the drug craving and automatic drug use behavior of heroin addicts under drug-related clues by means of self-reporting and behavioral experiments. The desire for drug craving is a strong desire for the addictive individual to experience addictive drugs, which leads to the occurrence of relapse, which comes from the subjective experience of the individual.Automatic drug use is an unconscious action, when drug related clues are presented to addicts, causing addicts to produce psychological craving and triggering automatic drug seeking and drug taking behavior, also known as habitual drug use.Research methods: With heroin addicts as experimental group, healthy control group were chosen as subjects.SAS scale,SDS scale,BIS-11 scale and CAS-S scale were used for self-report,and the addictive Stroop paradigm, visual detection paradigm and startup paradigm were used in behavioral experiments.Research contents: Study one and study two used the addictive Stroop paradigm and visual detection paradigm to study whether heroin addicts had attention bias to the action related clues of drug use.Study three demonstrated that heroin addicts were biased in both threshold and subliminal conditions, both in the threshold and under subliminal conditions.Study four verified the difference in impulsive personality traits between the experimental group and the control group, and tested the relationship between the impulsive personality traits and the degree of drug craving in the experimental group, the relationship between the degree of drug craving and the reaction under the subliminal clue condition and the subthreshold clue condition. The results of the study found that the interaction between the type of picture and the type of subjects was significant(F=0.63,p<0.05).Study two found that the interaction between the type of effect and the type of subjects was significant(F=3.23,p=0.07).Study three found significant interaction between startup type and subject type(F=26.58,p<0.01),Study four found that there was a significant difference in the score of impulse scale(t=2.68,p <0.05)between the experimental group and the control group. The score of impulse scale was higher in the experimental group than in the control group. There was a significant difference in impulsivity scale between the experimental group and the control group(t=2.68,p<0.05),and the Impulsivity Scale of the experimental group was higher than the control group. The score of Impulsivity Scale was positively correlated with the score of drug craving scale(r=0.44,p<0.05).The scores of drug craving scale were positively correlated with suprathreshold cue response time(r=0.43,p<0.05)and subliminal cue response time(r=0.37,p <0.05).The study showed that the addicts were biased towards the related clues, whether under the threshold related clues or under the threshold related clues, the addicts showed the attention bias to the clue pictures related to the action of the drug use, indicating that the clues of the action related to the drug use would lead to the thirst for the addicts and the automatic drug use behavior.
