An Analysis And Research On The Interpretation Of Machinery Equipment And Technology Exhibition

The paper is a Chinese-English report on an interpretation practice, the WoodMac 2013(2013 China International Woodworking Machinery Equipment Exhibition), in which the interpreter participated. The paper chooses the dialogues between Chinese companies and foreign customers in different stages during trades as analytic target, analyzes the interpretation techniques in trade fairs and probes into the professional quality that interpreters need to possess in machinery exhibitions.In the task review stage, the paper mainly describes the part of preparation which is divided into three parts: the preparation for the knowledge of machinery, the preparation for interpretation knowledge and the preparation for trades.In the chapter of case study, the interpreter analyzes the text of the interpretation practice in the aspects of the application of communicative translation and the requirement of professional quality for interpreters.From the task descriptio n and case study, the paper draws the following conclusions: first, the practical techniques of interpretation in trade fairs and the importance of preparation and second, the requirement of quality for interpreters in trade fairs.
