Gramsci, one of the founders of Western Marxism is a great proletarian revolutionary and theorist in Italy. Cultural Hegemony is the core of his political thoughts and ideological theory. Gramsci depending on practical philosophy emphasizes the leadership of proletarian party and the participation of organic intellectual and centers on intellectual strategies “civil society” as well as “positional warfare” to build a integrated theoretical system of cultural hegemony. This theory, proceeding from social and historical background at home and aboard, profoundly introspecting the experience and lessons of western proletarian revolution, seeks to find a new revolutionary road that is to seize cultural hegemony leadership for mastering state power by a non- injury means.The theory of cultural hegemony by its profound thoughts initiates a new strategic road of western proletarian revolution and has enriched and developed Marxism on ideology theory meanwhile provides a new perspective for the deep study of Marxist ideology theory. In order to study Gramsci’s cultural hegemony theory for self-regardness, and to draw on the essence of his theory to enrich and develop the construction of socialist ideology of our country, we can make reference of his theory from four aspects, first, sticking to ideology ground, strengthening the instruction position of Marxism, second, enhancing the party’s absolute leadership upon ideology, mastering the lifeblood of ideology leadership, third, actively constructing perfect system of socialist core value and enhancing the sense of identity and cohesion of the populace, fourth, cultivating a host of organic intellectuals to provide the main force for the construction of socialist ideology.
