The Study On The Cross-cultural Adaptation Of The International Students From Central Asian

The purpose of this study is try to fully understand the Cross-cultural adaptation of the international students from central Asian, to find out the problems and difficulties they would have to face in the process of cross-cultural adaptation,and to analyze the various factors affecting their adaptation, and to provide reference opinions on their education in China, which hopes to improve the management system.The study includes the ways of international students how to know China, and the purpose to study in China, and how do they adapt in the city, such as the weather,the food and the school and cross-cultural communication, social psychological adaptation and so on.Empirical research part of this research is mainly about questionnaires. The first part focuses on the research on their nationality, race, gender, Chinese skill, and the time in China, the purpose of the study in China. The second part is the adaption to social life, mainly investigate how they adapt the material life of the city, including the urban traffic, climate, living habit and the accommodation and the eating aspects of evaluation and satisfaction, and the situations to participate in China’s social and cultural life. The third part is to study their study situations. The fourth part is the investigation and analysis of intercultural communication difficulties in the process of communication with Chinese, and the reasons of these difficulties. Fifth part is about the psychological adaptation, the paper analyzes the international students to adapt to the situation in the feeling, as well as the whole of life adaptation of self assessment in China.Among the factors influencing their intercultural adaptation, the language and the values differences become the main resistance factors. The lack of Chinese skill caused the lack of motivation of Chinese learning. Communication style differences and the lack of communication with Chinese people, are reluctant to take the initiative to integrate into Chinese society culture life, Chinese skill difference caused by the major difficulty, these become the main problem. Conditions and the objective factors, such as accommodation, climate environment, teaching facilities basic are recognized by the students, did not cause too many problems in cultural adaptation. Through the questionnaire data statistics analysis and in-depth interview, we concluded that some of the main problems existing in their intercultural adaptation, and on the basis of empirical study, we like to put forward the Suggestions to solve these problems.
