Research On History And Basic Experiences Of Professionalism Of U.S. Military Officers

Research on history and professionalism of U.S. military officers is tosystematically analyze and summarize its experience. U.S. military is thought to be themost experienced on professionalism of military officers, whose experience could bereferred to for reform on professionalism of officers in PLA.Through a comprehensive analysis on the development and current situation ofprofessionalism of U.S. military officers, our study have got a clear and accuratecomprehension of it, which will provide an excellent reference for our similar reform.We find it out that to accept its useful experiences and discard those unsuitable for usis the best way to learn experiences of professionalism of U.S. military officers. Ourstudy comes up with following conclusions: professionalism of officers is a naturaltrend of social development, it is necessary to advance the professionalism withpersonnel administration and military occupation education, give priority to personneltraining, optimize the makeup of officer group, adjust the organization structure withmore emphasis on vocation, improve professional level of officer with reserve officertraining group, take example by foreign country and society, strengthen on theoryabout professionalism of military officers. Based on the summarization concludedfrom our study and with regard to the current situation of professionalism of officers inPLA, we come up with following suggestions: enhance the legal system, reformofficers professional structure, set up scientific officer training system, adjust interestrelations among officers, learn and refer to similar experiences got by military aboard,and put more investment in professionalism of officers.Our study is the first to analyze and conclude experiences of professionalism ofU.S. military officers, would contribute to further study on professionalism of U.S.military officers and could be referred to for professionalism of officers in PLA.
