A Research On Music Culture Construction For Military Academy

Military school is a significant base to cultivate new type of military elites to thearmy. One of the important elements to evaluate the synthesized level of militaryschool is the harmonic and healthy campus culture, among which music culture is thekey issue to build the campus culture, and the crucial part to form the advancedmilitary culture. Utilizing its unique music art image and charm, music culture affectsand educates the cadets so that they can be inspired and enthusiastic, with firm faithand power to make great advancement. Therefore, music culture shows itsoverwhelming effect in improving the all-around ability of cadets, cultivate thenuclear value point of view of modern army as well as enhance the first positioncapability of cadets. The research is based on analyzing the basic meaning andfunction of the military campus culture. By taking the National University of DefenseTechnology (NUDT) as an example, the research investigates the state of the art of thecampus music culture of NUDT, and find out the existing problems of music cultureconstruction of NUDT based on the preceding results of investigation. Comparing thesituation of music culture construction of West Point University in America and ErpaoEngineering University of our army, some useful experiences and inspirations areobtained which can be used for reference in future. Finally, the music cultureconstruction idea is proposed, which corresponds with the status of the first classmilitary school all over the world. Besides, seven methods of constructing militarymusic culture are proposed, including putting the music culture construction into thekey construction programming of school and the cultivation of elites, building thehigh level proper scale group of music culture and art, exhibiting music activity withspecific characteristic, activating the campus music culture, designing the campusnovel medium art network elaborately, bringing out the stimulant effect of musicculture, improving the fighting spirit of cadets, and establishing basic equipmentswhich are of proper function and adapting with the requirements of military schoolmusic culture, and so on.
