To achieve true freedom, we need to build community to guarantee therealization of the moral freedom, and in the moral community civil religion plays animportant role. It is the reason of civil religion proposed. Thelast part is a comprehensive assessment of Rousseau’s citizens religious.BecauseRousseau did not propose a complete theory of citizens religious, so the plight ofRousseau’s citizens religious is that the freedom of Rousseau’s ideal is disengaged ormandatory.
