Genghis Khan’s Political Ethics Thought Research

Genghis Khan is the Lord of Mongolians, but also the world-famous historical figures.Early12th century to13th century, Genghis Khan followed the historical and social trends ofMongolia to unified Mongol tribes to established the big Mongol Empire. From then long warbetween Mobei plateau tribes basically ended. The emerging Mongolian national communitieswith the wider world civilization, including the Central Plains culture were linked increasinglyclosely. It laid the political, economic and ideological foundation for the establishment of Yuandynasty. Genghis Khan’s success is not only due to his military and political strategies, but alsoinseparablewithhis politicalethics thoughts.The formation of a person’s ideology, not only have a certain social and historicalbackground, also have the basis of life and rich social practice. It must be based on the previousperson’s thought, and be treated with a right scientific attitude. And then it is able to build andestablish their thinking, improving and enriching constantly in practice. Therefore, PoliticalEthics of Genghis Khan was not only a need for social practice, and its origins can be tracedback to the ideological and cultural predecessors created in which permeates the influences oftraditional Mongolian culture. Genghis Khan’s unyielding character, generous and kindheartedindividual attitudes, focusing on the moral ideas of unity and loyalty and trustworthinesscourageous personal qualities imprinted in the minds of the Mongolian nation. Those are allspiritualwealthandculturalresourceswhichGenghisKhan left tofuturegenerations.In this paper, Political Ethics of Genghis Khan is the subject for the study. There are fourmain parts in this study: The first part describes the historical background of the formation ofPolitical Ethics of Genghis Khan. The second part focuses on main contents of Political Ethicsof Genghis Khan; theoretical basis of political ethics, political ethics and three basic principlespolitical ethics.The third part is a summary of the characteristics of Political Ethics of GenghisKhan. The characteristics are national, character of the times, authoritative and educational. Thefourth part describes Political Ethics of Genghis Khan to promote the values and principlesof the times, respectively, from following three aspects to express the value of the times of Political Ethics of Genghis Khan; those are the moral help to improve the quality of nationalmembers, to help to promote national unity and social harmony and stability conducive.Meanwhile, people need to use the principles of inheritance, abundance and innovation topromote the Political Ethics of Genghis Khan to find out the compatibilities, similaritiesbetween tradition and modernity in order to fully aware of Genghis Khan Political Ethics in themodern sense.
