Since the1990s, Citizenship is increasingly becoming an important topic of Contemporary Political Philosophy.Because of inherent logic of the complexity on Citizenship,Currently the meaning and essence of Citizenship remains controversial, The nature of Citizenship has been not yet formed universal consensus, but values of Freedom and Equality,Citizens and the State,And the intrinsic relationship of Rights and Obligations, are the core issues which Citizenship can not avoid.There are two theories of Citizenship in Contemporary Western Political Philosophy,That is Republicanism Citizenship and Liberalism Citizenship. However,Citizenship not only attracted concerns of Communitarianism,Conservatism, Ecology, Feminism, And Left-wing Thinkers also changed previously the suspect and critical attitude towards Citizenship,and began to rethink the nature and inherent limitations of Citizenship.in addition, the radical and conservative also absorbed the discourse of Citizenship for political activities and Public policy defense.This article start from the sight of Republicanism and Liberalism,according to the historical evolution of the history of Western Political Thought,in the foundation of combing and explaining Republicanism Citizenship and Liberalism citizen ship,in the standard of National Concept, Freedom, Virtue and other content view which the theory of Citizenship contains, try to be based on the comparative analysis of the two theories on Citizenship,glimpse of two kinds of theories of Citizenships of the common and lies of difference.
