Analysis Of The Chinese Communist Party People-oriented Thought In The New Period

The convening of the Third Plenary Session of the11th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party marks our country’s entry into a "new period" of the reform and opening up. Since the new period, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese people and the Chinese nation have made remarkable achievements. Looking back on the journey of more than thirty years’reform and opening up, we sum up the very successful experience that the CCP should stick to the value orientation of putting people first. The CCP with Hu Jintao as the core of the central collective leadership, establishes the political ideology of being people-oriented by combining basic Marxist principles with Chinese practices, meeting the development requirements in the new period and considering the specific conditions in the world, in the country and within the party. People-oriented ideology runs throughout the Deng Xiaoping Theory, the important thought of "Three represents" and the Scientific Outlook on Development. It is the fundamental standpoint, opinion and approach in guiding the practice of socialist modernization. Therefore, the further study of the people-oriented ideology of the CCP in this period is of great significance, whether in theory or in practice.Under the guidance of the Marxist theory, this article has systematically combed and explored the people-oriented ideology of the CCP in the new period by employing the research method of document analysis, induction and summarization and the combination of theory and practice. The article is divided into four parts. The first part mainly elaborates the formation of the people-oriented ideology in the new period in terms of theoretical sources and realistic basis; the second part explores and summarizes the people-oriented ideology embodied in the important ideas and theories put forward by different collective leaderships since the reform and opening up in a longitudinal way which include the Deng Xiaoping Theory, Jiang Zeming’s important thought of "Three Represents" and Hu Jintao’s Scientific Outlook on Development; the third part focuses on analyzing the main connotation of the people-oriented ideology of the CCP in the new period. It defines the basic connotation of being people-oriented by respectively analyzing the meaning of "people" and "oriented" as well as differing "people-oriented" from other related concepts; the connotation of the people-oriented ideology in this period is extracted through realizing the harmonious relationship between human and nature, man and society and among people; the fourth part mainly discusses the people-oriented ideology’s value of times in the new period. It inherits the Human Thought of Marxism and develops the governing conceptions of the party in the new period. At the same time, it is of great practical value and guiding significance to a well-off society in an all-round way and the construction of "Five in One"...
