Study On The Relationship Between Cross-border Cultural Artifact And Cross-border Ethnic Group’s National Identity

China is a unified multi-ethnic country with vast territory, and its geographic position borders upon many countries, thus there exist many cross-border nationalities. The specificity of cross-border nationalities determines the specificity of cross-border nationality issue; therefore, the cross-border nationality issue is always an important issue discussed in ethnology and anthropology field. The cultural consumption of cross-borer ethnic group in China both has same diversified feature as other areas in China, and suffers the impact and influence from culture market of neighboring countries to certain degree. Therefore, the cross-border nationalities which live in the border regions face more cultural choices.Jinpo nationality in China and Kachin nationality in Myanmar belong to same nationality in same mountainous region before the national boundary line for China and Myanmar is delimited. Up to this day, there still exist innumerable links between Jinpo nationality and Kachin nationality living in both sides of national boundary line, and they even often intermarry; furthermore, they have same language, and approximate cultural tradition and religious faith. This paper takes Jinpo nationality in Longchuan region as an example, and starts from cross-border flow of cultural products in local place and local Jinpo people’s consumption cognition on cross-border cultural products to discuss ethnical cultural identity, national identity, and cultural demand of cross-border nationalities as well as involved cultural security and other relevant issues through analysis on current situation of cultural selection of Jinpo nationality in Longchuan region, and then proposes some suggestions of realistic significance for ethnical cultural construction of borderland minorities.Through empirical study and theoretical explanation, the paper proposes the reason why the overseas Jinpo language cultural products flow into China’s Jinpo nationality area and influence and thinks that there are mainly three reasons. Firstly, the specific geographical location results in co-existence of multiple culture in local place. Secondly, under the condition of insufficient development of domestic Jinpo language cultural products, the Jinpo language cultural products from overseas countries meet Chinese Jinpo people’s culture and entertainment demand to certain degree. The most important reason is that the ethnical cultural identity of Jinpo nationality objectively exists. The influence of overseas Jinpo language cultural products which flow into China can be divided into three aspects. Firstly, the propagation of Jinpo culture enhances Jinpo people’s sense of ethnical identity. Secondly, objectively, it helps Chinese Jinpo nationality to reconstruct the culture of their nationality, and remedies the cultural fault caused due to historical reason. Besides, through overseas Jinpo language cultural products, Chinese Jinpo people know realistic situation and sufferings of Kachin people living in Myanmar, which objectively enhances Chinese Jinpo nationality’s identity on China.So the main factors influencing contemporary Jinpo nationality’s national identity, and thinks that the contemporary Jinpo nationality’s national identity is the unification of instrumental rationality and value rationality, and the factors of national power ethnic policy play an important function.
