Firstly elaborating the process ofChina’s participation in the international system since the reform and opening up, andaccording to the level of participation, this part divides China’s participation processinto two phases. One is the phase China partly integrated into the international system, that is from1978to the early1990s when China’s international role is "participant"and "adapter" of the system; The Second phase is China’s full integration into theinternational system, it is from the early1990s to nowadays, China’s international rolefrom the "participant" up to the "builder","contributor" and "improver" of the system. Then using this part and the second part as the basis, explaining the effectiveness of China participation on the peaceful transformation of the international system from three corresponding aspects: relations between big powers, the international mechanism and the international standard.
