To Analyze The Peripheral Structure Of China’s Peaceful Development Strategy

China, with the advantages of abundant resources and perfect geographical location, shows the potential of becoming a great power. As that, the strong rise of China, will certainly lead to restriction from the other major powers, which has become a necessity for China’s peaceful development strategy. Then how to analyze China’s Peaceful Development Strategy? This paper attempts to start with the theory of geopolitics perspective.The essay assesses the geopolitical theory through the historical clues. The original, naturalistic explanation model, placing too much emphasis on the law of jungle in human society, argues that the international political behavior is the survival of the fittest. Emerging in the19th Century, school of power-space theory emphasizes the relationship between geographic space and state power, intending to examine core influencing strength on world hegemony on worldwide. In1960s, by absorbing structure theory, geopolitics founds the discipline of regional analysis. Thus, the world is divided into different political unit according geographical nature.With the reference of structure theory, this paper categorizes the world as the core level, peripheral level as well as the margin level. Concretely speaking, the aim of this paper is discuss the peripheral level-the quadrilateral relationship between China, US, Japan and EU.Through the exploration of the quadrilateral relationship, we can draw the conclusion, even though that China’s path of peaceful development is still very long, as long as China as a developing country together with other countries in the world, firmly take the road of peaceful development is determined, sovereignty and territorial integrity and undertake corresponding international obligations, to pull together in times of trouble, global peace and prosperity of the guardian in21st Century.
