The Significance Of Marx And Engels’ Moral Views To Chinese Current Moral Control

In class society, moral control is one of the important means of ruling class’ssocial control. Moral control is directly related to such things: the future of a nation,the domination of ruling class, and benefits among classes. Under the influence ofglobalization, marketization, and internet, great changes are brought change into theway of life and social production in China. The forms of social consciousness,including ethics, undergo complex change. The conflicts and collisions betweendifferent ideologies in the world are increasing. The moral control has the positiveenergy and power for China’s economic and social development. In order toimplement moral control, we urgently need to focus on and resolve problems. Thetheory of Social control provides the scientific basis for the moral control. From thepoint of view of historical materialism, Marx and Engels have pointed out somerules of moral control, by analyzing, and criticizing the moral theories and practice,and provided inspiration for China current moral control in strategic thinking andpractice. This paper tries to analyze and solve the new moral problems appeared inthe new historical period of China, by the research in essence, characteristics andlaws of moral, especially moral values and social control theory of morality, whichis explained by Marx and Engels. It is especially significant for us to extend themoral thought of Marx and Engels to improve the moral practice and to promote thestability of social harmony.
