Research On Police Image Evaluation And Repair Strategy

The merits of the police image has a crucial influence on the development of police organization, a good image of the police can be able to produce a good reputation, for the internal cohesion of the police organization to produce, there is a strong public appeal. A good image of the police reflects the strong vitality police organization, also has a direct and significant impact on achieving organizational goals. However, due to improper leadership decisions of police organization, rendering improper police enforcement and negative media coverage, public misunderstanding and other reasons, the current image of the police has been severely damaged, police image crisis has caused concern police organizations and the community itself. In this paper, investigation, case study methods are used in research of the image crisis of Police Organization in L City.The municipal causes of police image crisis of L city is analyzed based on study of describing the current situation of the police image crisis in L city, and then,image restoration theory is used to proposes targeted countermeasures for police image restoration of L City. This thesis consists of five parts. The first part is an introduction. Including the background and significance, research reviewed. In the background and significance of research topics in the General Section, background, theoretical and practical significance theses are introduced, the image of the police organization and the crisis to sort out the relevant research literature. The second part is the theoretical basis, research methods and ideas. In this paper, the theory of image restoration involved are described. In the methods section describes the research methods used during the study. Finally, the research ideas section, in the context of the theory of carding article introduces the main content on the basis of this article, clearly the main problems to be discussed. The third part is a survey on the police organization image of L city. This section, the police and the public respectively evaluate the Police Organization’s image of L City and the evaluation results are summarized. The fourth part analysis the reason of image crisis based on the findings of the survey. The ection one ananysis the internal causes to the police image crisis from three aspects: improper leadership decision, improper police enforcement, low level police quality; the ection two analysis the external causes to the police image crisis from the local party committee and government administrative intervention, the mass media’s one-sided and distorted media coverage, the public’s high expectations and the reality gap between the perspective image of the police. The fifth part is the last part of the paper, strategies are targeted raised for the police image restoration of L city.
