Developing And Innovating The Functions Of The Traditonal Hui Community

With the development of market economy, the society of China becomes more and more complex. So, the grassroots government pay more attention to social management. Therefore, government promotes the community such as "street", using the strength of institutions, groups or organizations within the community actively, to realize a series of self-management activities and achieve democratic self-government of grass roots. But the community is complex and diverse, especially the management of multi-ethnic communities need innovativing approaches of management. The H Jamaat in Lanzhou which the author selected is a traditional community of Hui nationality, it has "five-dimensional" social structure. It is different from the Legal Community this Jamaat, it also faces he problems at the social transformation. Therefore, H Jamaat actively to develop and innovate the functions of the traditonal Hui community, to adapt to the changing development society.The development and innovation in H Jamaat’s functions, including library, education, welfare and cultural services. Moreover, the developing and innovating the functions of the traditional Hui community is not inly benefits the inheritance and development of traditional Hui culture, the education of women and children, the floating population to adapt to city life and the pension in community, but also help to the social governance of the Legal Community.
