Since modern times, the immigration phenomenon has appeared in Europe, the birthplace of industrial civilization. Among different immigrants, Muslim immigrants made great contribution to the economic development of the Europe, meanwhile, they also enjoyed the high welfare of European countries. However, since European economy went into a stagnant situation in 1970s, many social problems concerning Muslim immigrants have arisen. Muslim immigrants’integration has become a difficult problem to deal with for the European community. The Charlie Hebdo event, taking place in France on January 7,2015, attracted public attention on European Muslim immigrants once again. Their integration is one of the main focuses of academic circles.Several factors restrict Muslim immigrants’ integration. They are identity, society and policies, international conditions. For identity, it contains identity of value, religion and self-identity. For society and policies, they include tightening immigration policy, limited social participation, differentiation of Muslim community and influences of right wing forces. For international conditions, they comprise one-sided coverage of western media, the effectiveness of European Union integration and international antiterrorism. Muslim immigrants’integration is a complicated problem and it can not be solved in a short time. The main factor is identity. To make a breakthrough on this issue, European Union, European governments, citizens and immigrants should reach a consensus. If immigrants could integrate into local society and culture without prejudice, local people evaluate the immigrants’influences objectively and different countries and European Union could draft immigration policy jointly, the issue of European Muslim Immigrants would be relieved. The study of European Muslim Immigrants is a challenging project. It involves many factors. The author, after studied many research results, taking European Muslim Immigrants as the topic, presented all the factors that hinder the integration of European Muslim and studied through three perspectives------taking European Muslim as immigrants, religious minority and part of the whole Muslim community. According to the topic, the author analyzed different constraint factors of European Muslim immigrants’ integration specifically, including self-identity, religion, politics, society, economy, culture and international conditions. Through the detailed analysis of European Muslim community, the author aimed at constructing a theoretical framework of this issue.
