Research On The Construction Of Leaders’ Working Style In Communist Party Of China

Working style is the practical manifestation and overall reflection of other styles of leaders. However, the unhealthy working style of some leaders has not been timely corrected for a long time. Since the 19th national congress of Communist Party of China (CPC), profound changes have appeared in world situation, national situation and Party situation, and the unhealthy working style of some leaders have brought great damage to the Party image and cause. Studying the construction of working style of some leaders is of significant value for the further deepening of Party construction theory, especially the theory of working style construction, and for the overall advancement of being strict in Party discipline under new historical conditions. This paper makes a tentative exploration on this topic.There have been deep discussions in Marxism about the Party’s style construction and working style construction. After systematic organization, these ideas can serve as the theoretical basis and guiding principles for the construction of the leaders’working style in CPC. This paper mainly elaborates the exploration and contributions of Marxism from four stages, i.e. emphasis of Marx and Engels on "consciousness of public servant", proposal of Lenin’s anti-corruption and anti-bureaucracy thoughts, establishment of "Three Fine Styles" and other thoughts of Mao Zedong, constant development of Chinese Communists after reform and opening up.Currently, the construction of the leaders’working style in CPC is very urgent in reality. As the important constituent part of Party style, the working style of leaders concerns the overall style construction of the whole Party, the maintenance of Party-masses relationship and cadres-masses relationship, as well as the success of the socialist cause.In reality, the working style of Party leaders is good on the mainstream, especially the working style of leaders has been obviously improved through mass line education practice, anti-corruption and integrity upholding activities, but there are still some problems, which are mainly reflected as formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism and extravagance. The emergence of these problems can be attributed to many reasons, including social and historical origin, objective practical reasons and subjective cognitive factors.Style construction is a long and arduous systematic project. The improvement of leaders’working style under the new situation needs efforts from the following aspects: combine the Party’s fine traditions and the foreign advanced experience, maintain flesh-blood relationship between the Party and the masses, make harmonious coordination between working style construction and ideological style construction, study style construction, life style construction, make an organic unity among ideological education, system construction and supervision and punishment. This paper systematically expounds the effective means to strengthen construction of leaders’ working style under the new situation from the above aspects.
