Research On Related Problems Of Video Investigation

Video surveillance is rising with the development of television technology, initially it is mainly applied to the field of private and commercial security, then to the field of crime prevention and administrative supervision. After the video surveillance has been widely used in society, the investigation organ begins to "use" it for its use.Accompanied by the development of economy and the progress of technology, the criminal activities become more and more complex, subtle and intelligent, and the investigation work is facing severe challenges, such as the lack of evidence, which makes the case more difficult clear up, so traditional ways of investigation is still unable to effectively curb the tendency of crime. In recent years, because of the video surveillance’s networking and intelligence, the characteristics of its objectivity, timeliness and initiative make the use of video investigation become a reality. After years of investigative practice, combining the video surveillance system and other technology plays an important role in the practice of investigation, and it has very big development space as well. Video investigation is a new method of investigation, at present there are many problems to be solved, to some extent, its effect is still unsatisfactory.This paper studies on the principle of combining theory and practice, and it mainly studies around the core issues of "the application of video investigation", and adhere to the research methods of literature survey, investigation, case study, comparative method, inductive and summary method etc. This paper consists of four chapters:the first chapter, through the literature research method and summarized method, defining the concept of video investigation firstly, with the relevant theory of science of investigation and the criminology (routine activity theory, rational choice theory, dead space theory, the identical cognizance theory, information transfer theory) to provide support for video investigation, and analyze its existence value (prevention, monitoring, after investigation), which is helpful to the video investigation’s depth application. The second chapter, through the comparison research method, describes the typical application in the field of video surveillance of foreign criminal prevention, mainly relates to the British, the United States, France and Germany, and make further evaluation on the effect of its application. The third chapter, through the survey study method and case study method, from the necessity and feasibility perspective, explain the rationality and importance of the application of video investigation, on the basis of summarization of video investigation conditions, analyze and summary the discovery extraction, application principles, ideas and methods of video surveillance information, explain the ideal operation of video investigation application, and through the analysis of the present situation of our country, analyze the problems existing in the present stage. The fourth chapter, based on the above conclusion of theory and case study, improve the conception of video investigation work, which shows that only follow the traditional way and modern technology to improve the video surveillance network and optimally design the video investigation method of the operating mechanism and safeguard system, the limited investigative resources can be used scientifically and reasonably, and the video investigation method is more dynamic, and finally the video investigation’s ideal operation in investigative practice can be realized.
