Marx’s Social Formation Theory And Its Sinicization

Marx’s social form theory is the core content in historical materialism, as well as the theoretical basis of scientific socialism. The establishment of Marx’s social form theory has specific historical conditions and thought culture origin. As a part of Marxism, Marx’s social form theory comes from classical philosophy in Germany, classical political economy in Britain and utopian socialism in Britain and France. In addition, the conception of society and history established prior to Marxism also affect the generation of Marx’s social form theory. This paper consists of five parts:The first part indicates the reason of subject choice, background and current status in both domestic and overseas. According to consulting of previous literature, we notice that current studies mainly focus on the socialist road with Chinese characteristics, system, theory and overall relationship and obtain impressive results. However, rarely studies can concentrate on Marx’s social form theory view. Therefore, this view will be the new growth point of research in localization of Marxism in China.The second part includes the definition and research of Marx’s social form. In this part, we analyze the theory and connotation of Marx’s social form and illustrate the classification standard. Furthermore, we also discuss the successive replacement and crossing problem in evolvement process. For Marx’s social form theory, we insist dialectical thinking and against metaphysics.The third part focuses on the appearance and development of Marx’s social form theory. Marx’s social form theory was founded in Rheinische Zeitung time and commonly seen in many works by Karl Marx. Afterwards, plenty of classical Marxist writers made a great contribution on its development on several aspects:social law theory, social form theory, power of social form theory and social form theory of succession.The fourth part aims at evolvement process of social form. Marx’s social form theory start from the reality of individual, regard basic economic law of socialism as power and develop as a natural-historical process from lower state to advanced form continually. Marx’s social form theory also indicates the dialectical unity of general process and specific road in theoretical system used by Karl Marx about basic human social structure, inner mechanism, development force and succession process. For research in Marx’s social form theory, on the one hand, we take dialectical materialism and historical materialism as guide to investigate the theory logically and fully in the view of open and development. On the other hand, we should pay attention to put Marx’s social form theory into social practice to embody combining of theory and practice.The fifth part states the status about theory and practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics. After new China founded, Party leaders aim at international environments in different stages and combine political development, economic construction, cultural development, social construction and ecological civilization construction in various Chinese historical periods thereby applying Marx’s social form theory to social practice to raise the viewpoints which are suitable for China’s national condition on the way of realizing socialism and communism. These viewpoints include new democracy theory, theory of the primary stage of socialism and xiaokang society which are important parts of Maoism and socialist theoretical system with Chinese characteristics. The theoretical system direct at Chinese socialist construction to proceed smoothly. These courses are necessary when Marx’s social form theory is applied in China. At the same time, Chinese communist party also inherit, enrich and development this theory in a further step. Socialist theoretical system with Chinese characteristics insists the openness of Marxism as well as the scientific attitude of developing with time. The realization of combining of Marx’s social form theory with Chinese social practice is based on having enough knowledge of development of social history therefore we can solve practical problems and innovate in thought theory.
