The Study Of The Theory Of Habermas’s Deliberative Democracy

Fast change in modern society, is no longer the traditional, simple, based on the status of nation states, it presents a variety of problems, these problems have to pose the legitimacy of the traditional society on the substantial damage. In this case, Habermas proposed the theory of deliberative democracy, although has certain harmonic properties, but the purpose is to transcend the liberalism and republicanism democracy model, make up for the inadequacy of representative democracy.This paper uses the methods of literature analysis, comparative analysis, this paper attempts to briefly from four aspects of Habermas deliberative democracy thought. The introduction part for the purpose of this thesis selected topic reason, the domestic and foreign research present situation has carried on the brief introduction, in general and to clarify the concept of "deliberative democracy", sums up its essence and its main features. The first part, through carding of western deliberative democracy thought history, Habermas is analyzed on the generating process of deliberative democracy thought. The second part studies the theoretical basis of deliberative democracy, Habermas thought, namely the communicative action theory, discuss ethics and the theory of intersubjectivity, this paper expounds the theory of the three main focus of support; The third part introduces the basic content of deliberative democracy, Habermas thought, subject, including consultation democracy mechanism and system design, explore the connotation of the deliberative democracy thought connotation; The fourth part to evaluate Habermas deliberative democracy thought, illustrates its contribution and deficiency. Conclusion show that Habermas deliberative democracy thought for perfecting the current value of democracy.Deliberative democracy to surpass other democratic value aim is to construct open, interactive and equity consultation procedures, ensure that citizens of equal participation, free dialogue and debate, prompted the reasonable transformation of the original preference, enhance the rationality of the decision and acceptability, cultivating citizens overcome oneself, understanding others, obey the truth, the virtue of accountability. At the same time, the deliberative democracy faces huge challenges, really into practice remains to be the test of time.
