Research On The Cultivation Of Citizen Self-discipline Consciousness In The Civilized City Construction

There was no parallel of the speed and the scale of urbanization in the history of China. However, the urbanization is not only the growth of the population proportion and the number, but also the improvement of the quality of the city. Because the city is not simple superposition of people and objects, but the civilization presentation mode of the core in the social civilization and the achievements of human historical development in various stages. City civilization is the combine of the form of the city and the material carrier. The civilized city construction is decided by the law of the social development and the process of the city development in China. The degree of city civilization is a measure of the comprehensive, coordinated, sustainable development. The citizens are the main subject of the creating activity. It is unrealistic to create civilized city without the improvement of the citizen overall quality. Self-discipline consciousness is a very important standard of the citizen quality. Self-discipline consciousness is the high level of morality, and reflects the essence of relationship between civil and social ethics in certain social living conditions. However, the reality is that the process of the civilization development is uncoordinated in the construction of material and spiritual civilization. It is lack of scientific guidance of the citizen self-discipline consciousness cultivation. Taking into account the of this correlation and the reality, it is important to enhance the awareness of citizen self-discipline in the activity of creating civilized cities.At present, both at home and abroad there is little systemic research monograph data system of research of the citizen self-discipline consciousness in related research papers in various academic journals. Based on the above understanding, this article puts forward the feasible path to cultivate the awareness of self-discipline by the way of literature study, questionnaire survey, dialectical analysis and other related methods on the background of the urban spiritual civilization construction. Combined with the activities to create civilized city, taking Wuhan City as an example, the cultivation about self-discipline consciousness was investigated. This paper is divided into four chapters:The first chapter mainly discusses the related concepts of civilized city and citizen self-discipline consciousness from the perspective of connotations, characteristics and the relationship.The second chapter mainly has analyzed the course and the basic experience in our country to cultivate the self-discipline consciousness in the activity of creating civilized cities.The third chapter analyzes the problems and reasons of cultivation of civil awareness of self-discipline in the activity of Wuhan. Taking Wuhan as the sample, we analyze the problems of cultivation of self-discipline by the questionnaire survey. Results show that the problems are the unsound education content system, unitary cultivation mode, unsystematic development, the weakness of development ground. Aiming at the problems, we analyze the causes of the problems from the view of subjective, objective and historical cultural traditions.The fourth chapter puts forward the countermeasures of cultivation of consciousness of self-discipline in the activity of creating civilized cities. According to the questionnaire survey and empirical, we propose practical suggestions from the four aspects——cultivation of the principles, content system construction, cultivation methods, security mechanism construction in the activity of creating civilized cities.
