The fifth part is conclusion and prospect. It summarizes the main conclusion of this study and discusses about problems need to be further studied.Through study, this thesis deems that, though the charitable donations in China have made significant progress, there are still quite a few problems. The charitable donations are influenced by relevant principal factors including the donators, the charitable organizations and the governmental functions. A mechanism of action of reciprocity and mutual promotion has formed among the donators, the charitable organizations and the governmental functions. Donations made by overseas Chinese are an important component of China’s charitable donations. Quanzhou is a model city for donations made by overseas Chinese. The overseas Chinese of Quanzhou origins have strong economic strength and willingness to make donations. Thus the overseas Chinese donation funds develop and expand continuously. The local government attaches great importance in guiding and encouraging donations made by overseas Chinese. The donators, the charitable organizations and the governmental functions interact with and mutually promote each other, driving the overseas Chinese donation cause in Quanzhou to develop steadily, and setting an example for the development of charitable causes and programs for public good in Quanzhou. From this perspective, in China, we can draw lessons from the development of overseas Chinese donations, to cultivate the charity awareness of the donators and promote economic and social development, to rationalize the relationship between charitable organizations and the governmental functions and improve the self-building of the charitable organizations, to enhance the credibility of charitable organization and boost the development of charitable donation legalization, to set up incentive mechanism for charitable donations and create strong atmosphere for promoting charitable donations, so as to facilitate the way of mutual promotion for the donators, the charitable organizations and the governmental functions, and promote the sound development of charitable donations.
