Research Of Government Information Disclosure In Public Crisis

Since the1990s, China’s gradual transition of economy and social structure hasled to serious social contradictions. Under the influence of various forces, socialinterests and power are in the process of transfer and redistribution, the complexity ofsocial management is growing, public crisis is now an inevitable social managementissue.In the process of public crisis management, information disclosure plays a vitalrole. Therefore, this article will study information disclosure in public crisismanagement. The main contents are organized as follows.The first chapter mainly focus on the general theory of public crisis managementand information disclosure. The concept and characteristics of public crisis and publiccrisis management has been elaborated, as well as the significance of informationdisclosure in public crisis and content and channels.The second chapter analyses the situation of China’s information disclosure inpublic crisis management. Analysis found that the information disclosure in public crisismanagement has met some problems, such as fuzzy of responsibility, blockage ofchannels, and lack of information sharing. Which is mainly due to weak awareness,poor media collaboration, and absence of supervision.The third chapter studies the experience of foreign government in informationdisclosure. The inspiration for our country is to foster a strong sense of crisis, to establish a sound legal system, to form positive interaction with media, andconduct international crisis information sharing.The study end up with suggestions to our country in information disclosure inpublic crisis management.After the study, the author believe that the government should enhance the crisissense of government and the whole society, to build information disclosure legal system,to establish specialized organization of crisis management, to improve thecommunication mechanism of crisis information, to give full play to the positive role ofvarious types of media, and to form government officials’ crisis assessment mechanism.
