The Study Of The Cultivation Of Socialist Core Values In The Process Of The Promoting Of Olympic Spirits

After the proposing of the system of the socialist core values in the Sixth Plenum of the sixteenth CPC Central Committee, the content of the socialist core values have been confirmed in the eighteenth National People’s Congress by national, social and individual level. The General Office of the Central Committee has pointed out that it is necessary to fully integrate the cultivation and the practice of the socialist core values with national education by enhancing the publicity of the core values and expanding the way of cultivation. It is significant to discuss a feasible way to cultivate the socialist core values and put it into practice in sports field.After the Beijing Olympic Games, the Olympic Games become more popular in China. The Olympic spirits, which emphasize understanding, friendliness, equality and competiveness have the same resonance with Chinese people and make great influence on the values in China. The current paper studies the ways to combining the cultivating of socialist core values with promoting the Olympic spirits, which serves to enhance the effects of the cultivation of the socialist core values.The current paper analyzes the feasibility of cultivating the socialist core values by promoting the Olympic spirits. The methods of literature review, interview of the famous athletes and authoritative professors are adopted to conclude the similarities between the Olympic spirits and the socialist core values. The conclusions of the current paper are as followed.The Olympic spirits includes values namely the tolerance and understanding, equality and friendliness, justice and honesties, patriotism and the spirit of utter devotion. While the socialist core values are the essence of the socialist core value system, represents the "three promotions" respectively by national, social and individual levels. The socialist core values functions as a morality measurement to lead the national thoughts and enhance the cohesiveness of belief based on the goal of fulfilling the Chinese dream.The Olympic spirits share the consistency with the socialist core values in the aspect of essence. Both pf them represents the advanced civilization of the modern society and hold the features of openness and tolerance. It is feasible to cultivate the socialist core values in the process of promoting the Olympic spirits and they can make supplement to each other.To realize the cultivation of the socialist core values in the process of the promoting the Olympic Spirits, it is necessary to motivate the patriotism and the sense of national proud among Chinese people. In addition, it is important to make great use of the demonstration effects of great examples and normalization the voluntary work.
