Ren Yingqi who was born at Lushan in Henan Province is patriotic general in our country. He is refer to in numerous books. For example, he is known as "hold on revolution, never betray" in Mao Zedong collected works, he is spoke highly of in Li Dazhao complete works as "the person who was the closest to the Nationalist Party". However, his name is unfamiliar.All the time the information of Ren Yingqi is provided by his friends and kinsfolk, scholars who study Ren Yingqi mostly is Ren Yingqi’s fellow-townsman. Ren Yingqi’s story should be spread popularly by later generations.Ren Yingqi was well-educated in his yang age. After the Xinhai revolution in1912, Ren Yingqi throw down the pen and join the army regardless of the objection from his family in decades of war. Soon afterwards, he was embodied by warlord to start his army career. When he joined the battle here and there, he believed in "Three Principles of the People" that was put forward by Sun Zhongshan and realized that China only could be saved by revolution. During the "Hufa war ", Ren Yingqi made a huge contribution to Guangzhou national government. After that, he join the battle forward east as well as north and join the battle against to Wu Peifu. At the same time his military force reached the top and he was appointed by Jiang Jieshi as army commander of twelfth army.However, he became a thorn in Jiang Jieshi’s side and before the battle of Central Plains his Ren Yingqi’s army was cheated and destroyed. Ren Yingqi finally recognized the true features of Jiang Jieshi and joined the Hu Hanmin’s army which was called New National Party (the southwest) because of the explosion of The918incident. He decided to confront with Japanese and Jiang Jieshi. The most important parts of "the southwest" were located at Tianjin and shanghai,"the southwest office located at Tianjin" undertook the task that fight with Jiang Jieshi and other important members of the government, they collaborated with the Communist Party of China to help them carry out underground activities. Ren Yingqi in the southwest office located at Tianjin got acquainted with revolutionary who had the common goal, such as Liu Chenglie, Liu Renrui, Liu Juemin. He realized that only the Communist Party of China could save China. So he joined the Communist Party of China secretly through the introduction of Liu Ren. He organized "Chinese anti-fascist illiteracy" and rebellion of Central Plains with Nan Hanchen, Xuan Xiafu and Ji Hongchang. He donated all his possessions, Forty-five thousand yuan. He wanted to oppose Jiang Jieshi to save the country at that critical time. Nevertheless spy institution attached to Jiang kept an eye on Ren Yingqi and Ji Hongchang.Because of the betray from Traitor Lv Yimin, at9/11/1934, Ren Yingqi and Ji Hongchang were injured and arrested in "Tianjin national hotel event", soon at24/11they were killed at army jail in beeping. Before they were martyred, they admitted that they were members of the Communist Party and did not afraid to shout loudly that Long live the Communist Party. In his posthumous papers there is a word that it is pain that as a man ambition could not be came true. While Ji Hongchang’s story is popular, Ren Yingqi’s deed is rarely known by people. Even it is controversial to name him martyr.2014is the eightieth anniversary after his Deaths. This paper tries to study Ren Yingqi’s life through limited information to express our highest consideration and respect for Ren Yingqi and other martyr who fight for our freedom and country.
