The modern China doesn’t only make people feel grieving and painful but also keep people working hard and being awake. The state pattern, politics, laws,education and other aspects have changed significantly at the same time. After the Opium War, the diplomatic transformation of modern China that changes from tributary system to treaty system has been realized by the invasion of western powers that forces China to fall from the imperial court to a semi-feudal and semi-colonial country and sign a series of unequal treaties which leads to the inclusion of China in the restraint range of imperialistic international law. However, China has also started gradually to engage in thoughts of modern western international law, translating parts of the writings of international law and increasingly learnt the effect of international law and diplomacy. At the same time, China has deepened the understanding of world and the study of international issues; the modern education has reformed continuously:At the late Qing Dynasty, the imperial examination has been cancelled creating the new-style school and education system as well as emphasizing studying abroad. Mr.Gengsheng Zhou was also recommended for the admission of Japan’s Waseda University and he studied in Japan and Western Europe for over ten years, and starting to focus on the study and education of international law, political diplomacy and history.As a China’s famous contemporary expert in international law, diplomacy and education, Gengsheng Zhou who experienced both of the republic of China and the People’s Republic of China makes great contribution to China’s international law,higher education and diplomacy, making himself to be famous for the academic achievement of international law field. His "International Law" has formed an unique international law system with Chinese characteristics,so he is honored as the father of China’s international law. He has done the rational predictive analysis of the changes and tendency of international politics and diplomacy in different historical development stages, which is applied in the practice of diplomacy. He proposes four different diplomatic forms, suggests that the democratization of national diplomacy and independent diplomacy should be realized. Moreover, he demonstrates the " The five principles of peaceful coexistence ", and promotes it to be the fundamental principles of international law. Based on it, the diplomatic construction of new Chinahas turned to a new phase. As a generation of famous teacher and headmaster, he is able to see the future of higher education and quality-oriented education of citizens,making efforts to the development of education for more than 20 years.Then, it is very important to study the era of the academic thoughts of Gengsheng Zhou and his personal experience as his academic development experiences different eras and the abundant contents are not the same. Based on it, the historical development of his academic thoughts can be understood clearly and his academic thoughts can be analysed by phases and subjects. In the meanwhile, there is no doubt that it is the most scientific academic study approach that Gengsheng Zhou uses his academic study to do a series practice and tests and gives feedback to the theory with practice. With the development vision, the academic thoughts of Gengsheng Zhou have some problems but we need to realize one point that his academic thoughts is an indispensable part to the academic development history in the field of international law, politics diplomacy and education and it has some certain significance of guidance and reference for the developing China and the whole world.
