After the new China was founded, the Chinese Communist Party became the governing party from the revolutionary party, beginning the exploration of governing road. At the beginning, the CCP was influenced by the “left” errors, and went the wrong way which leaded to the “Cultural Revolution”. The Third Plenary Session of the 11 th Central Committee of the CCP took the road back on track, which, however, still went through a rough period to be certain of where to go. The exploration can be divided into three parts.First, from October 1976 to September 1982, the inertia carried the country for about two years.The CCP kept the “left” errors in the governing thought, and the governing model of an unity of Party and government,and the key link of class struggle. With the great support of Deng Xiaoping and other leaders, the debate on the criterion for truth freed people’s thought. The Third Plenary Session of the 11 th Central Committee of the CCP abounded the key link of class struggle and transferred the focus to the economic development successfully.The second period was from September 1982 to Oct. 1987, the CCP made the programmer to create a new situation in building socialism with Chinese characteristics, which also embarked the Party’s new governing road with Chinese characteristics.The third period was from the Oct. 1987 to the Oct. 1992. The CCP faced a lot of challenges,but it handled that in a clam way. In the international community, the Party calmly handled the shock of the collapse the Soviet Union and the Fall of Communism. We brook through the sanction and the block of the Western countries. At home, the CCP solidified the foundation of the governing road. After the Deng Xiaoping’s South Tour Talks,the CCP actively forged ahead on a mature governing road.
