Research On Migrant Workers Law Education In Xinjiang

Migrant workers are a kind of special social group who appeared under the specific background of China’s economic and social system transforming stage. With the rapid development of society and economy, more and more migrant workers will stay in cities to work and have their lives. The flow area and quantity of migrant workers continue to grow in size. Migrant workers have being made a great contribution to social and economic development, but also bring some problems. Xinjiang is located in the northwest border area with the features of multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-religious beliefs and customs.Because of the special and complex region, strengthening the research on migrant workers’ legal education in Xinjiang has important significance. The research results, such as how to strengthen the legal consciousness, cultivate the law-abiding habits, will contribute to strengthen national unity, keep religious harmony, rule Xinjiang by law and build a harmonious Xinjiang.The paper focuses on the topic of how to strengthen migrant workers’ legal education in Xinjiang. On the basis of reviewing the domestic and foreign related research literature,the firsthand data for this study had been got by the way of questionnaire and deep interview. Using the qualitative and quantitative methods, this paper deploys research on the present situation investigation, problem identifying and cause analysis etc. Because of the focus of the research object, the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions about the legal education for migrant workers are given. This paper is made of four parts: The first part is the introduction. Mainly introduces the background and significance of topics,research review, research ideas and methods, research emphasis and difficulties, and innovations. The second part is research description. On the base of the definition of migrant worker’ legal education, this part, in the light of the research data, analyzes the particularity, content and significance of the research on the migrant workers’ legal education. The third part is the analysis of the present situation and cause. Through the way of questionnaire survey, the firsthand data has been got about migrant workers’ law consciousness, knowing law status, safeguarding rights status, and abiding by the law. By the statistical analysis, this part has summed up the problems of migrant workers’ legal education as follows:(I) paying no more attentions to the migrant workers’ legal education.(II) The education content is not rich.(III) The ways of education are inflexible.(IV) Lack of the mechanism to protect. At last, this part analyzes the causes of the problems. The fourth part is the countermeasures. According to the problems and causes of the migrantworkers’ legal education in Xinjiang, targeted countermeasures and measures are put forward.The research results will clarify the constraints which influencing the effect of legal education to the migrant workers, and break through the facing problems and difficulties.Taking Urumqi as the case study area, through field investigation and lots of data analysis,the research conclusions of this paper are targeted clearly and highly credible, which having important academic and applicable value.
