American scholar Zbigniew Kazimierz Brzezinski considers Ukraine as the pivot country of geopolitics in Euro-Asian continent, as it plays a significant role. Since the independence, Ukraine has been the focal point of western countries and Russia due to its unique geopolitics and complex history.Since the orange revolution in 2004, the battle between western countries and Ukraine in Ukraine issue has become fiercer and Ukraine remains a highly unstable country. Due to the significance of Ukraine in geopolitics, the Ukraine authority would pose important influences on regional current situation and trend and international configuration evolution trend, including the political unrest aroused by the signing of the Association Agreement by Yanukovych Government. Thus, it is necessary to analyze the internal and external causes of this issue to probe into the reasons behind it, enhance the predictability of future trend and understand the influences on geopolitics and international configuration. Meanwhile, the tragedy in Ukraine, but also gives us a wake-up call and inspiration, it is worth thinking and reflection.
