Rousseau is the 18th century in France is famous for its famous thinker, philosopher and educator. Rousseau’s political philosophy system including the concept of liberty, equality, human rights theory, social contract theory and a series of ideas, and put forward the requirements on behalf of the bourgeois freedom, equality of voice. Rousseau’s thought theory is the typical representative in the history of political thought in the world. Rousseau’s political thought flashing contemporary political thought the sparks of wisdom, for the later scholars and thinkers form provides the theoretical source of thought. In advocating freedom, democracy, equality, human rights, Rousseau’s thoughts are still worth our efforts to study and explore.Consists of three parts:Rousseau’s idea of natural freedom, social freedom and moral freedom. In this paper the process of the three free Rousseau emphasized the law for realizing the important role of freedom, citizens’ ideological and moral qualities for realizing the importance of freedom. Rousseau thought that in order to achieve freedom is the premise of public will, form a social contract, and the law is the provision of the public will into easy to understand format. Rousseau also think to realize free citizens need to have higher ideological and moral qualities, and formed by moral self-discipline, rather than use the law to force discipline yourself.To realize the socialist harmonious society also needs a sound legal system, also needs to improve the citizens’ ideological and moral qualities, so there are a lot of ideas and implementation of Rousseau’s idea of the socialism harmonious society idea coincides with mine. Conscientiously study and Rousseau’s thoughts and ideas about freedom, not only can help us learn and master the core idea of contemporary political thought, but also for our construction of socialist harmonious society have the effect of some help and guidance.This article is divided into three parts. The first part mainly analyses the origin of Rousseau freedom. Including two parts, the first part is the human early myths and ancient Greek and Roman period of the concept of freedom, the second part is the modern several representative scholar’s view of freedom, and Rousseau sublation of their views.The second part expounds the specific content of Rousseau freedom. On the one hand, Rousseau’s freedom form’s family background and social background. On the other hand is Rousseau freedom form logical path. Rousseau put freedom is divided into three kinds:natural freedom or natural freedom, political or social and moral freedom. The three freedom from low level to high level gradually progressive relationship. Natural freedom mean natural rights, was born with, can’t be deprived. Natural freedom is a mirror, reflects the human society and all kinds of inequality, lack of moral social freedom is a self to overcome and avoid to fall, to avoid being social alienation of difficult process.
