Design And Research On The Environment Of "Probation Space"

The prison is an organ of state executing the penalty. With the progress and development of the human society, it has gone through a tortuous and long history. Prisons have developed from bonds for punishment and imprisonment into places of discipline, transformation, rectification and education. Under the influence of the current humanized social situation, prison construction also requires gradually breaking away from the shackles of traditional thinking. Under the premise of ensuring the safety of prison supervision and according with relevant laws and regulations, Both fully grasping the behavior and psychological characteristics of criminals with particularity and creating a more ideal building environment for criminals to life, study and reformation suitably are of great significance to reshape the personality and cognition of criminals.The reason why the prison is positioned as "Probation space" is because the "Probation" highlights the typical characteristics of the modern prison system. The word "Probation" Occupy the core position in modern philosophy of criminal law in China. In the development of modern prison, Probation education opened a new era of Chinese execution mode. Rational and objective examination of the role of the prison education will be propitious to the progress and development of modern prisons.The generalized definition of the prison is the place where all the prisoners are held, including the detention house, the bridewell, and so on.The main content of this research is designing the environment of "Probation Space".1 combine with the analysis of the development status of domestic and foreign prisonsthrough the actual investigation combing, combining theory with practice. What’s more, I research and analysePingyin detention center, try to transform the design and make a detailed discussion on the the planning and layout, monomer building design, green design and so on of the prison area taking the Pingyin County Detention Center for instance as well as "construction standards of detention center" that is the general principles of prison architectural design as basis. I hope that it can put forward a reference opinion for the design and construction of humanized prison in the future.
