Mao Zedong’s Thrift Thought

Thrift is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. Mao Zedong, the proletarian revolutionist of the older generation, led the Chinese people to completely change their fate and face of the country. In 90 years of the Communist Party of China’s historical development, a generation of revolutionists of the older generation, from Mao Zedong to Xi Jinping,has always adhered to, develop and carry forward the tradition of the Chinese nation’s thrift, advocating thrifty people, and building up the country through thrift and hard work. The history of the Communist Party of China, is a history of the development of thrift and hard work. Thrift is not only the success of a magic weapon for the Communist Party of China’s revolution and construction, but also the spiritual power to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the Chinese dream.The paper firstly analyzed the theoretical origin of Mao Zedong’s thrift thought and its process of formation, and then summed up a thrift of Mao Zedong Thought and the great influence of social politics, economy, military and culture at that time from Mao Zedong’s life and works, documents and speeches of various periods, and Mao Zedong’s Thought on economy and Mao Zedong the policy thinking. Meanwhile,the paper detailed analyzed Mao Zedong’s thrift thought and practice before and after the founding of the country. Finally it came to the conclusion that the thrift thought should be adhered to as a national long-term policy. Its important value in today’s society development is that each generation of national leaders should inherit and carry forward the thought of Mao Zedong’s thrift thought and actively put it into practice.
