| The purpose of this thesis is to deal with a long-standing issue about ebook piracy in China under the rapid development of the Internet. According to the analysis of ebook copyright protection in China and its overseas protection mechanisms, the study intends to raise feasible optimizing strategies on ebook copyright protection in contemporary China.The first part in the first chapter of the thesis is the background description, briefly introducing the situation of ebook copyright under the rapid development of the Internet and summarizing the necessity and complexity to tackle ebook copyright problem, which is also the main purpose of this thesis. Secondly, the thesis analyses the different situations in China and overseas in order to clarify that it is necessary and feasible to study ebook copyright protection. Research methods including literature review, comparative analysis, case study are mentioned in the thesis. The thesis then explains the concepts of ebook, copyright and copyright registration. The last part in the first chapter tells the research methods and innovation. And where innovative is that the thesis borrows the successful experience from ebook copyright protection abroad, providing practical measures from the perspectives of regulations and technology regarding to the existing problems about ebook copyright protection in China.The second chapter includes the legislation and policy, technology, judicial administration supervision and social protection of current ebook copyright protection. In the legislation and policy aspect, there is a clarification about copyright law and terms of Internet. Meanwhile, there is a description about the elite aspects of ebook copyright and digital copyright protection in developed countries such the USA. France, Japan and the UK. The second part in this chapter is the introduction about the core technology about ebook copyright and the application and platform of ebook copyright protection. The chapter lastly clarifies the success of judicial administration supervision and the basic situation of social protection respectively. It also discusses the current situation of ebook copyright social protection environment via the sef-regulation of publishing and internet, the protection of citizen’s copyright awareness and organisations.The third chapter mainly illustrates the problems and challenges in ebook copy right protection. The chapter is not only introducing the problems about the right of communication, publishing and hiring in digital era under current law and regulation, but analyses the loopholes of ebook copyright protection. Copyright protection and intelligent use will be mentioned at the end of this chapter.The forth chapter raises the solutions to solve the protection of ebook copyright in digital publishing environment and the suggestions to guide the ebook copyright protection in China. The author studies the law and regulations about ebook copyright and Internet right overseas and hope put it into practice in China in order to improve the law and regulations in China. The chapter then introduces the requirement and innovative design of ebook copyright protection technology. The third chapter introduces the balance system between copyright protection and intelligent use. All solutions mentioned in the chapter hopefully will guide the copyright protection in our country and tackle piracy including ebook. |
