The Research Of Early Mao Zedong’s News Thought

The paper aims to conduct a research on theoretical source,evolution, main content and influence of the early Mao Zedong News Thought. Through in-depth analysis of the development of News Thought in the youth of Mao in Hunan and Beijing, the paper made a summary of the evolution process of the Thought and a deduction of an outline of its development during 1915 to 1921.To begin with, the paper gave a sketch of theoretical sources of the early Mao Zedong News Thought. First, youth Mao was influenced by traditional culture, including Great Harmony of Confucian School, Universal Love of Mohist School and Practical Statecraft in Hunan culture. Second, Mao was enlightened by news thought and news practice of bourgeois reformists and bourgeois revolutionists. Third, Marxism News Thought had an impact on the early Mao Zedong News Thought.Besides, the paper made an analysis of evolution process of the Thought, which consisted of three parts, namely, the beginning stage, the early development stage and the advanced development stage. In accordance with Mao’s working line, the first stage could be divided into Hunan Period and Beijing Period which were significant for the understanding of trajectory of the Mao Zedong News Thought. In the second stage, Mao was fully concentrated on Xiangjiang Review Weekly. This was the time when Mao used journal as a weapon to carried out a set of effective fights. The last period was the peak of its thought when implemented a series of news practice like the editing of New Hunan Weekly, submission to Dagong Newspaper and establishment of Civilian Communication Press.In addition to that, the paper discussed main content of the Thought. Through, in-depth understanding and analysis of the news practice combined with political reality and thoughts reflected in political articles released by youth Mao, the paper showed the embryo of the Thought.Finally, the paper made a summary of critical influence by news practice and news thought of youth Mao. First, it is the contribution to establishment of China’s Communist Party. Second, is the impact on the establishment of Mao Zedong news career. Third, it is the inspiration of the early Mao Zedong News Thought on current news industry.
