Research On Friedrich Engels’s Early Thoughts

Engels is not only the tutor proletarian masses of working people throughout the world, and he is one of the founders of Marxism. He dedicated to the cause of communism with Marx, and gave Marx spiritual and material support. He played an irreplaceable role in the construction of Marxist system, the above idea gained a lot of Marxist researchers generally agree. However, we examine this view and find out a lot of content is ignored: as a great thinker, Engels modest appellation himself as a "second violinist", but he has his own independent way of thinking and method and the idea change process is also unique. Even so, people put Marx study first usually, and put Engels after Marx’s research. It makes us ignore too much Engels unique ideas, not to the history of Marxist system to generate a reasonable explanation, also can’t give Engels due status. Marx and Engels’ s thoughts both belong to the same system. They are co-founder of the Marxism ideology, but each has their own characteristics and style.The emphasis of the domestic and foreign scholars’ research on Engels main idea and direction are different. The 80’s is a period of China’s reform and opening up, domestic scholars pay more attention on the social development and economic development of our country from domestic research problems. On the one hand, the scholars view the attention on Engels’ economic thought. On the other hand, the scholars pay more attention on the study of historical materialism of Engels in our country. In fact, Chinese scholars’ views on Engels thoughts research are objective. After in-depth research, the view of that Marx and Engels’ thought does not exist pluralistic structure widespread in our country’s scholars. Abroad, there are three kinds of different points of view: antithesis, lead and influence respectively. For the antithesis research, it is roughly divided into three stages. The first is the "Engels" stage in the 1970’s. The emergence of a number of studies about Engels books on the society at that time, but all the book’s research content are not enough in-depth. So it cause people a kind of Marx and Engels thoughts opposing ideas, which caused a lot of volatility. The second stage is the time after the first stage ten years. At this stage antithesis still exists in view of the western scholars. Since the year of 1992 is the third stage. From the collapse of the Soviet Union, the western politics of the huge changes from “antithesis” into "consistent" in most scholars’. Japanese famous scholars Hiromatsu Wataru specifically present the view that young Engels involved to guide young Marx. His paper—“the thought of his young Engels" said the creation of historical materialism, and Engels is the" first violin". As the representative of the influence, Hiromatsu Wataru thought that Engels thoughts not only is not a subsidiary of Marx’s thought, and his early important thought give great influence to the Marx, especially it plays an important role for the formation of the concept of Marx’s science communism.On the basis of the research status at home and abroad, this paper mainly analyzes the three early major thoughts of Engels. By adopt the method of text study and comparative analysis, firstly, I illustrated the selected topic background, research significance, research status and research methods of the four aspects, namely the first chapter of this article content; Second, I did some research and discussed the social background of his life and thought source development to the formation process of Engels early thoughts, this part as the second chapter of this article; Again, this study illustrated the content of Engels early thought, namely, Engels’ s early economic thought of historical materialism and scientific socialism, and fully show the influence of Marxism. The third chapter content mainly includes the Engels’ s early economic thought content, definition and evaluation of three aspects; The fourth chapter mainly from Engels on the analysis of the material benefits, productivity, production relations germ of an idea, the action of the masses of the people the influence of the formation of historical materialism of Marx and Engels this a few aspects to analyze; The fifth chapter mainly elaborates Engels did to socialism from capitalist society’s inner crisis, working-class tragic situation and the necessity of socialist revolution; The main content of conclusion is the Engels’ s early thought status and role in the formation of Marxism.Through the above three aspects of the research, I have more clear understanding about Engels’ s early thoughts. This article not only clarified the Engels’ thought on the role and status in the development of Marxism, and the system of Marxist history of the formation of a reasonable. At the same time, the impact of Marxist theory and its ideological significance to the development of today’s world is clear, and we can have a deeper understanding and grasp the theory of Marxist theory.
