Marx has an unwavering interest in and pursuit of historical science.Looking back on his lifetime of academic research experience, the research on historical science can be said to run through the whole process. The historical notes of Karl Marx(hereinafter referred to as notes)studied and discussed in this paper is a large and rich historical research note written and completed by Marx in his later years. This work reflects and embodies Marx's ideological trend and research achievements in his later years. As we all know,Karl Marx,as one of the greatest thinkers of the 19 th century and so far,is inevitably influenced by the level of historical development of his era in terms of realism. Moreover,in fact,Marx's discovery, reflection and summary of historical materialism can be regarded as one of the outstanding achievements in the field of historical scientific research at that time.It can be seen that the completion of "notes" is an important document that cannot be bypassed for Marx himself and for that era. However, compared with the rich research achievements of other works, manuscripts and notes of Marx in the current academic circle, the research on this "notes" of Marx is relatively weak.Therefore,in-depth study and analysis of Marx's thoughts and research achievements in notes of history is the starting point and foothold of this paper. The purpose of this paper is to make a relatively comprehensive study of the notes and try to make a contribution to the study of the notes. The main content of this paper is divided into six chapters, through in-depth "notes" of the content itself,to study the relative system, and always adhere to the basic idea and method of flexible use of historical materialism, and try to continue to Marx "unfinished thinking" in later life,in order to achieve the perfection and development of historical materialism, some limited exploration. The specific contents are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly introduces the research purpose, significance, research methods and ideas of this paper, and expounds the research status of notes in domestic and foreign academic circles, and basically summarizes the existing research results at home and abroad under the theme of this research. It lays a foundation for the smooth development of this paper. The second chapter mainly discusses the basic situation when Marx finished his notes. This paper discusses the historical background and objective conditions of the writing of the notes, and further analyzes the important position of the notes in the academic path of Marx's life.At the same time, based on the content of the notes itself, this paper analyzes some basic methods that Marx followed when he finished the notes, including the writing technique, the characteristics of the writing and the internal research logic. At the same time, the content of the notes itself was carefully sorted out, summarized the main content of each volume of the notes.Through the research,it can be found that Marx did not simply narrate, let alone record at will, but in the process of writing notes,he followed his own logic, and expressed his understanding and evaluation of the recorded historical events, historical processes and historical phenomena through fluent words.Among them, many comments made by Marx in his notes are of great value for us to understand his attitude, his views and his thoughts on historical research. The third chapter goes further into the content of "notes" itself.Based on the overall understanding and grasp of the content of "notes",it puts forward a new view that "notes" is a "medieval history" in the sense of Marx. Then through the three aspects of time dimension, space dimension and reality dimension of the further argumentation, show "notes" in the ideological system of Marx's important position.Given the richness of the notes,it is clear that Marx worked hard to accomplish such a huge task, but it was clearly the only way to the truth. After the research,it can be concluded that the definition of "notes" as a "medieval history" of Marx is in line with the research ideas of Marx and the original appearance of history. The fourth chapter focuses on several important points which Marx studied deeply but did not discuss clearly in his notes. As the basic consensus of domestic academic circles, historical materialism is one of the most important theoretical innovations in Marx's theoretical research in his lifetime. In this chapter, the author focuses on the scientific theory that historical materialism is changing the real world.Dialectical unity of surplus value theory and historical materialism; The dialectical relationship between the general law and the concrete road of the development of human society;New thinking on the division of the development stages of world history. The fifth chapter summarizes the practical significance and enlightenment of the study of notes. The study of "notes" is undoubtedly an important text to dig deeply into Marx's historical materialism theory, and it is an important link that should not be,and is impossible to get around. In this chapter, the author tries to analyze and discuss from the following aspects: the promotion of historical materialism, the development of historical science, and the importance of notes to the realistic society. In particular,it summarizes the significance of notes in developing historical materialism, theenlightenment in historical research, and the guiding value for the realistic society. The sixth chapter is the conclusion of this thesis. In summary,it can be found that Marx completed the study and writing of the notes in his later years, which is not only the long-cherished wish of Marx, but also the will of Marx.Marx left behind the "blank" place,is not left for the people after the amazing, but as the successor,we should be brave to take over the hands of Marx's baton of history.Although it is difficult to surpass Marx,it is the responsibility and mission of our generation to add some color to the fertile soil of its "blank".
