In 2015 the Conservative Party of Canada in power for 10 years was defeated in the federal election, the Liberal Party of Canada entered a new era of leadership. Polls before the election showed that voters eager to have a new party to lead Canada. So, why Canadian voter changed their mind from Conservative Party to Liberal Party? According to this paper, we try to study the factors affecting the behavior of Canadian voters. We make the analysis from four dimensions. The first, Party identification dimension, although Canada still exists that phenomenon that voters party preference changed by their location, education, gender, age but generally speaking, because of Canada’s multi-cultural and the development of the modern party system, Canadian’s identification is not very high. The Second, economic dimension, voters generally believe that economic factors are important factors to driving and impaction their voting, but in the election, the macroeconomic situation does not directly reflect in the election results. The Third, issues dimension, the impact of pragmatism national culture, Canadian voters issue preference was significantly higher than several other dimensions, Canadian voter’s political interest is higher than other countries people, so they make decision according to their own values and positions The last one, Candidate dimension, it is an important factor in the 2015 election, but in the long-term, the impact of this factor is not obvious.Combined with the survey and the 2015 general elections, the Canadian voter is different from the traditional western voters, they show the lower party identification, and maybe reflected by post-materialism, economic trend is not directly reflect the election result. Overall, Canadian voters are more pragmatism.
