Study On Online Privacy Protection In The Age Of Big Data

In recent years, the information society has been into a state of high development with improvements of the internet technology. There comes the era of big data with the information exploding over and over again. On the one hand, a positive change has been happened in the behavior pattern of the government, the operation form of the business and the lifestyle of the individuals with promotes of big data technology.On the other hand, privacy of citizens has been a serious problem because of the abusing of big data. Nowadays, China’s laws and regulations is inadequate about the protection of privacy, and the relevant enterprises varies in the importance of privacy of citizens. Facing with such severe circumstances in the era of big data, the thesis analyzes the problem of privacy protection in the era of big data form the perspective of privacy security.In the first place, proceeding from the ways and features of right infringement in privacy and the dilemma of privacy protection, the thesis describes new changes of the right infringement in privacy in the era of big data with practical cases. The study presents a complete situation of privacy infringement in the era of big data through the study of these new changes.In the second place, the thesis analyzes the specific measures of the America’s self-discipline mode and the European Union legislation regulating mode. By comparing these two kinds of privacy protection mode, the thesis explains the current international situation of privacy protecting, and learn from the protection system of western countries.In the end, basing on the present situation of China, some countermeasures and suggestions are present about privacy protections in the era of big data. Firstly, the government should strengthen legislative supervision and international cooperation;secondly, the enterprises should pay attention to the promotion of self-discipline within the industry and enhance the technical protection measures; thirdly, citizens should improve their awareness of privacy protection and moral qualities.
