Study On Jameson’s Thought Of Totality And Its Application In Ideological Work

Frederic Jameson (1934---) is an American scholar. He has developed Marx’s overall thought. Jameson’s works with unique charm:he built a rich content, unique structure of the open platform. Though his research emphasis constantly change, but the overall thought has been through in Jameson’s work.To explore reinterpretation, we need understand previous research integrity. For example:Lukacs’s overall discusses and Althusser’s multivariate determinism have produced important influences on Jameson’s overall thoughts. Jameson’s overall thought to a certain extent, is a variant of Lukacs’s dialectics thought. And althusser’s multivariate determinism influences value back and logical structure. This paper argues that Jameson’s thought includes the contradiction movement, debate, source and structure. His interpretation of Marx’s overall thought made personal comments.This paper argues that Jameson reinterpretation of overall thought mainly has four reason:the sake of analysis of a new stage of the development of capitalism, deal with "overall war", defend Marxism contemporary value, think about the overall condition of human to overcome crisis.Jameson’s exploration bring enlightenment to our vision of ideological work. His overall thought has an important influence. Under the guidance of the overall thought, Jameson wants to make the overall figure painting of 21st century. So the ideological work must have overall view, to reflect on the existing situation, pay attention to thinking about the future, to promote in-depth development of the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics in the 21st century.Our goal is to combine the essence of the theory with China’s domestic. In concrete application method, this paper mainly analyzes enlightenment on the ideological and political education work in our country. This part mainly contains four aspects:the working methods, the innovation path, the overall goal, the whole effect. The reinterpretation of Jameson for Marx’s overall thought is of great significance, but also we should find its theoretical defects with the dialectical attitude.
