As one of the introduction-western-democratic-political-system countries earlier in Asia, Philippines has embarked on a path of political democratization after World War II, and is known as "the window of American democracy" by many scholars. Although having experienced Marcos dictatorship in the course of political democratization, it also has been committed to the development of democratic politics. It has important significance for us to understand the development law of the course of political democratization by understanding the process of political democratization in Philippines, analyzing of the problems in the process of its political democratization and summarizing the experience and lessons of Philippines political democratization process. Therefore, this paper mainly discusses the following five parts.The first part mainly describes the evolution process of Philippines political democratization since World War II, splitting the process into three periods:the period of copying the American style of democratic politics, the period of military dictatorship, and the period of re-open the political democratization process. By detailing the critical events and points in each period, the author divided the most important re-opening process of political democratization stage into three parts:the process of political democratization rekindled stage, the stage of rapid development of political democratization process, and the process of political democratization in the twists and turns in the difficult period of steady progress.The second part, mainly introduced the present situation of the current political democratization road in the Philippines and the main problems. The status mainly introduced the current system of separation of powers and the Philippines political party system; And its current politics in the Philippines, the main problem is political family monopoly leads to its political democracy, ecological destruction, and the resulting corruption.In the third part, the paper obtains the main factors that influence the process of political democratization in Philippines through the above analysis of the process of democratization in Philippines. They are as follows:Economic development level, the traditional feudal social structure and traditional political culture in Philippines, and American factors. The paper detailedly discusses the specific impact of each factor.The last part of the paper is the enlightenment to the development of other countries in the process of political democratization in Philippines after a preliminary understanding of the process of political democratization. It contains as followings: The common ethnic identity and national identity cultivation is the foundation of Ideological of political democratization course; the harmonious development of economic democracy and political democracy is an important condition for the development of political democratization; strengthening the construction of social democracy at the grassroots level is the most basic work for the development of political democratization.
