With the rapid development of science and technology and the extensive application of information technology, human life and production has undergone a tremendous change. With the rise and development of Internet technology, more and more consumers begin to use the Internet to complete the transaction. The network consumption opens up new trading route for consumers. Internet trading patterns beyond the traditional market transactions, outside of the physical market has created a convenient invisible market. Compared with the traditional trading patterns, the network trading patterns can reduce transaction costs, saving transaction time, both having openness characteristics without geographical and time constraints, so that more and more consumers enjoy convenient online shopping. Thus the majority of consumers like and favor it, bringing the enormous economic benefits for society.Since online trading has an open environment, Virtual body, highly technical and difficult regulatory and other characteristics, resulting in false propaganda, phishing, information disclosure and claims difficulty and other phenomena frequently, so that the interests of the majority of online consumers are more vulnerable. If the interests of online consumers are not effectively protected, it will affect the development of network transactions, resulting in stagnation of e-commerce technology, so the economic development and progress of our society will be seriously hampered. In this view, the paper is necessary to learn the protection of rights and interests of online consumer in-depth analysis and discussion.Firstly, the paper introduces the basic theory of network transactions about consumer protection, and it elaborates the concept, characteristics, type of network transactions. Secondly, we take in-depth analysis and discussion about the problems faced the China’s online consumer protection. Then compare the foreign related legislation about network consumer protection, and to sum up experience and inspiration. Finally, response to these problems, we put forward the corresponding improvement opinions, and solve issues on consumer protection in network transactions from many aspects of legislation, law enforcement, judicial and social supervision.
